The Air 2 Geared up with the AIr 2 Wet Suit - Anything is possible.

With zero percent chance of Rain last night a Freak Storm blew in, it was 1am a single Boom woke me up, I ran outside and threw the drone up and into the lightning.

I flew
Almost 26 minutes in the pouring rain .

That speck in the middle is the Air 2 inside the Flash of a Lightning Bolt you see the drone in the sky with another Lightning bolt in what was really a Pitch black Sky.

Here is the Insane video : The Air 2 Geared up with the Trauma 1 Wet Suit taking on the Freak Storm.
At one point in the video the Sound got creepy as the wind picked up speed .

No the Wet Suits our designed to Protect the Drone and seal the battery Air Tight.
With the battery fully protected , the vents covered the drone is ready to fly the next day, no wipe needed.

My only issue is that the Iphone Max Pro Plus like to whine that its getting wet with a warning.
Once we get that Update for the Smart Controller that will end.

There is only Wet Suit : Comes with Battery Covers and 3 Power Button Seals.
They weigh less than 1 ounce. And the Forum members get 3 color designs :

Black and White
All black
Black and Neon Red

This video shows how it still folds up and how to use the Wet Suit.

How are the motors protected from water? I get that the battery compartment is protected with the wet suit, but do you think there's any other concern about water leaking in to other crevices, such as through the arm hinges, etc? Would be curious to see you fly back to back 3 batteries in the rain, then dry the drone off on the outside and completely disassemble it and see if water has made it's way inside. Once the water hits the pcb board, it won't last long lol.

We learned a lot from the Phantom 4 Drones and the Mavic 2 Zoom the Mavic 2 Pro the Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4 pro .

All of the DJI motors are made from aluminum brush-less motors, designed and engineered to negotiate water so much that these same motors our used in some submersibles and have never been an issue.

When it come to the PCB board not lasting long after getting wet you might want to re think that:

We have done those videos and much much more on all the boards.

You can learn a lot about your drone by watching these videos : If you can keep the Battery Protected anything is possible in the Rain and Fresh Water.

We have over 100 videos posted but here our two of them.

I've read questions and answers about the motors. I have a different question... Did the water damage the Hasselblad camera in anyway?

Correction. I do not believe you had the Hasselblad camera on the test drones. The question remains the same.

No none of the Camera on any of the Drones have been damaged.
What does happen is when the Camera goes under water the Video Signal Strength is not strong enough to carry the signal to the camera under water.

The DJI cameras all have a good seal on them .
You will also notice in the videos even when the lens comes out of the water it perfectly clear again.

Why was the phantom not restarted coming out the water on the video??

That phantom was fully submerged under the water , Thus the battery was fully compromised.
It was best to get it back take the battery out dry it out and put in a new battery as she is still flying today even after all those drops in the Lake.

Yes the DJI Care will cover water damage as long as you have the drone.
The vents our not covered, but they our protected to minimize the Water getting in.

this is not a good thing to do fly in a lightening storm this can and will kill you.
fly at your own risk.
