I just took some various pics of a sunset tonight using a variety of types IE: HDR, PANO, NO EFFECT etc. They look horrible! I saved them in RAW and are viewing them on the SD card from my Samsung tab S6. The ISO on all of them is 100, most were shot on AUTO and some MANUAL settings. They all look equally horrible! Any help out there??DJI_0945.JPGDJI_0943.JPG

Grain is more pronounced in the darker, shadow areas of a photo, as the overall picture is darker more grain will be visible

Can you post one of the original image files?

Those photos above are right off the SD card. Untouched.
So you didn't shoot in raw?
The graininess is only visible in the darker foreground but not at all in the brighter sky.
How does the camera perform when you shoot well lit subjects in daylight?

If those grainy photos were taken in auto mode, the camera software would have increased the iso to account for the dark conditions.
I suspect these would be around ISO 3200 and not ISO 100, which would account for the grain and be a normal outcome of the failing light and the high ISO speed.

Can you post a photo taken in bright daylight, then we can have a look at the grain

If you took the photo in RAW it would not be a JPG like the one you linked to. Should be a DNG format. When you search the photo properties (meta tags) what ISO does it say the photo was taken with?

Exposure details for the pic he attached are: 1/80 sec; f/2.8; ISO 100

sorry missed that.
my zoom takes great pictures, but i might not have the same 'eye' for details as others. sorry i dont have any good advice Ptevee

When I pull the photos right off the SD card... They are labeled "RAW" in the top left corner of the pic. Also my camera was set to RAW only. Do JPEGs have less grain? And yes all of the pics were at 100 ISO. I will shoot some during daylight today and update. Thanks for your input.

In that case your software has converted them to JPEG, and possibly not optimally for the scene. If you still have the raw files then it may well be possible to do much better than that.

The Mavic 2’s can’t shoot Raw Only. It’s JPEG only or JPEG & Raw. The preview images produced will come from the JPEG version and will always differ from the Raw image - usually a little sharper and more saturated.

So much noise from a Raw or JPEG looks worse than I would have expected but noise in shadow/low light areas is normal.

If you can post one of the DNG images we could check further for you.

Yes ... post a well lit shot where the sun is behind your drone, lighting the whole frame.
That will confirm whether the issue was due to the camera or the shot you took.
And it won't matter if it's a dng or jpg.

That the skies were fine would suggest there's nothing wrong with your camera.
