New Firmware for Air 2

As noted from the DJI forum, new firmware out.

V01.00.0250
+ Added switch to automatically detect subjects in FocusTrack, and optimized the
overall performance of FocusTrack.
+ Added ability to track subjects by dragging a box around it when using Free
Hyperlapse mode.
+ Added ability to store 8K Hyperlapse in RAW format, use playback to view 8K
Hyperlapse, and for more media players to play 8K Hyperlapse.
+ Added prompts in DUI Fly when GPS experiences interference.
* Increased maximum flight speed to 19 m/s when using Spotlight in Sport mode,
and added support for Spotlight at night.
* Optimized Smart RTH.
* Optimized performance when using wave gesture to trigger ActiveTrack and
QuickShots.
* Reduced noise when recording HDR video at night.

I wonder what the "wave gesture" thing is about? Until now the Mavic Air 2 didn't really support gestures.

It has always supported a wave gesture to start active track.quick shots, instead of hitting go/start on the app. Its not full-gesture flying like the Air 1.

I haven't tried to see if there is new firmware yet, just reposting from the DJI forum.

Seems like at least some ios users have seen it, but Android not yet.

Seriously... I'm hoping this is The One that also enables Smart Controller compatibility when ITS new firmware hits.

I got it and just installed. not flown yet tho. via my android phone.

Actually I just was able to install it via my Android phone. The option to install it popped up as soon as DJI Fly launched upon powering up the connected controller.

I'm on ios and didnt see it a few hours ago

Its impossible to catch/remember it all. I'm certain I have no idea what the different flashing light patterns are, despite having looked at that a few times. It might actually be best to write the manual as -- here's a bunch of stuff you absolutely have to know (what the buttons do, how to adjust RTH and disconnect settings, what the sticks do, how to ensure enough sat coverage, how to put the props on properly, etc) and keep that to like 5 pages. And then everything else.
