Just installed Beta, I will have to test fly tomorrow after work, but it has way points and some other smart flight. I'm betting it does the way points by autonomous stick as dronlink does. But I do know that I installed, Started Litchi, Recognized MM, and circled my location with way points, sitting at my desk at 10pm so want to test! lol

Awesome! Let me know how it works out for you. I've been interested in the Litchi app.

I use litchi on my bigger drones really can’t see sending my mini on 4 mile mission thou, I’m just glad to fly with litchi

Seems to work same as Dronelink now comes the Money equation! lol

Any software that talks to the Mavic Mini is going to do it typical of the others, what it comes down to is Cost and what hardware (once again cost) is required for the softwares coding. I'm a wait and see person, watch the developers see what becomes available and get user input, than make the purchase. If on the other hand you absolutely have to hover around you house or ball field not touching the sticks, than by all means spend that cash! :)

For myself having other drones that are far better than the MM, I need to stick with Litchi for not only the MM but for the others as well. I have both Android and IOS Licenses, and also plenty of hardware to run anyone of the flight apps, it dont make sense for anything else. lol

Hello, where did you find the beta ? In the play store you only have version 4.17

I know the litchi team says that Waypoint and orbit are not supported by Mavic mini so how can dronelink claims that waypoint works for them ?

This would be easier if we didn't have 137 threads on it. :p
Litchi is designed to upload the waypoints to the drone which then autonomously executes the flight plan. A DJI developer confirmed on their forum that the SDK does NOT support that on the Mini because there is no supporting code in the Mini's firmware. Dronelink, on the other hand, does not upload the waypoints; it monitors the GPS position and uses "virtual stick" commands to fly the drone to the waypoints,

Does that mean that Litchi is superior in that the drone behaves autonomously and is not subject to transmission and reception issues with the connection to the drone ?
Litchi would still be able to fly the waypoints and return while not been connected to the controller, while dronelink couldn't and would just RTH on the loss of signal
I guess Litchi would only have issues with gps reception, while dronelink could have gps and signal problems ?

We've discussed this elsewhere, too, but IMO it's a really bad idea to have a mission continue after loss of connection, and it really is illegal, too. This is not a military "mission" that must completed, hell or high water: You need to monitor missions and be ready and able to abort if necessary.

Litchi's real advantage is that the navigation algorithms will run more smoothly on the drone than on the device, mainly because of delays. But that's also why Litchi's GPS-based Follow will not work as well as on-board ActiveTrack.

Can I now use litchi for for operating mini

Only the recently released Beta version supports the MM, you will need to register as a beta tester to get it.

The versions on the app stores are a previous version that does not support the MM
