I decide to test how the Mavic Air 2 perform with the GoPro Hero 9 Black attached.
For my surprise perform really good with plenty authority going up and flying. Also the GoPro Hero 9 Black stabilized all the vibration without problem and leaving a nice smooth video. I used a reusable zip tie to hold the GoPro Hero 9 Black base and does not slip at all, also help absorbing vibrations and stay stable because the neoprene material from the Wet Suite.

I have more ideas for this setup.

Well my last test trying to do an underwater footage setup

Any Ideas? I just have this as a personal project. Thanks @Phantomrain.org to be supportive helping me with the project.
I really want to make this a forum project with everybody ideas since the outcome will be awesome.

Just imagine be able to get under the water footage from landing the drone in any spot you want in the water.
I want to keep the progress here at the forum and my YouTube channel.

You need a lighter weight floatation system. Buy some of those really cheep thin plastic water bottles. You will probable need 2 on each side of the drone for stability and floatation when landing on water. Then Hang a go pro between and below the bottles. If you use string, the camera can float around and change directions, maybe you will see more stuff. Or use a couple pieces of wire from clothing hangers to make a rigid camera extension, so it doesn't move when hanging below the floatation (water bottles). I would think that set up would be light enough. Test it in a pool first, in case anything happens. I've had my Mavic2 pro take a complete submersion for about 2 minutes. I took the battery out and let it dry for a day under a fan, It works fine a year later. I once used those foam tubes kids use to sime with in pools. I attached them to my Mavic Mini. It worked, fine, but I didn't like the idea of having the drone so close to the water. But I think, those cheaply made, thin plastic water bottles would work better. Just keep them away from the prop wash. You don't want them in the way of the props air flow.

Certainly a cool idea, place that on an M2 and you will have the power.

Where was the underwater footage?

Maybe your floatation can be lightened up by using pontoons.
That floatation device is called a Rescue Jacket and made by a forum member, @Phantomrain.org

It's designed specifically for the MA2 and is super light.

They also make "Wetsuits" for flying in the rain. Before you say why, just look here... codyshoaf.myportfolio.com/storms (most of those were taken during the rain)
