According to the manual, pushing the RTH button again will cancel the command.
Lately I've been having to hit it several times and trying to correct the course (because it is trying to land several feet from my launch pad) but it keeps wanting to go back where it thinks home is if I let off the sticks to hover.
Surely I'm missing something?
Thanks,
Randy

the RTH button on the MA2 RC has a dual function, quick press is pause press and hold is RTH ,same with the cancelling try a longer hold when you cancel RTH

I could have sworn I was holding it down for 3-4 seconds (and mashing it hard) before trying to take control but I will make sure next time.
I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing a setting somewhere.
Thanks very much,
Randy

well if that is the case instead of mashing it down, try a quick press first to see if it cancels ,then if it doesn't,then a press and hold, dont mash it down too hard or you could damage it

A quick press of the RTH button cancels RTH for me and I believe stick movements either adjust the RTH landing or cancels. From the User Manual -

Flight Pause/RTH Button
Press once to make the aircraft brake and over in place. If the aircraft is performing QuickShots, RTH, or auto
landing, press once to exit the procedure and then brake.
Press and hold the RTH button until the remote controller beeps to start RTH. Press this button again to cancel
RTH and regain control of the aircraft. Refer to the Return to Home section for more information about RTH.

RTH and regain control of the aircraft.
Yes that's the way I read it too but pressing again did not cancel.

I'll pay more attention but I'm pretty sure I wasn't mashing it down until pressing briefly did nothing and it was landing and missing the pad.
It's probably user error but I'll know for sure the next time I fly...thx!

When you press the cancel button on screen you can see by the “are you sure” ?text ballon (hit ok, not cancel ) - understand specific question is about the dedicated RTH button. Options...

When I press and hold the RTH button, after several seconds, I hear several "Beeps" which tells me it has accepted my request to cancel. Are you hearing those sounds when you attempt to cancel ? If not, hold the RTH until you hear the first of several beeps - I didn't see any referance to the SFX or beeps in your posts so I wondered if you are hearing what I hear when I cancel RTH ?

Yes I hear the beeps along with a female voice saying "returning to home".
I was going to test today to see if it would cancel when pressing again but something came up and wasn't able to go.
I will test when I go out again...that said I love this new hobby and grateful I waited for MA2 (was tempted to buy MA until I read here there was talk of MA2 :) )

A question, when trying to cancel the RTH do/did you have either of the sticks away from their centres?
It may not be a relevant question since it stems from use of either a Mini or an M2Pro but.....
I have a recollection of some minor hiccup (can't remember what, just that there was a hiccup) when cancelling an RTH that might have been in the landing phase.

I always cancel on the screen as soon as I get video again. I just think that's easier. Are you using RTH for landing? That's what I get from your post and I may be mis-reading it.
I trust the RTH. It's never failed me but I would rather land myself.

I can't recall my exact actions but the only reason I would cancel is when I can see the AC is going to miss the pad.
I think I hit the RTH button before trying to land manually but I wouldn't bet on it...I will try to remember to test this and make sure I hit RTH b4 moving the sticks and report back...thx all

Low batteries and cover overhead such as trees is a reason to cancel a system initiated RTH. I see what your saying if you initiate, then unless you change you mind all of a sudden it seems unlikely you want to cancel.

I'm not sure what you mean but I cancelled because I could see it was going to miss the pad.

Okay. I was flying around my yard which has some large trees. Flying in and around the trees with sensors off. I was surprised when, unsolicited because low batteries, RTH kicked off. 120’ was set as the altitude to achieve on the way back to home base (the other side of the yard). On the way up, the bird stopped short of the tree canopy. The rotors clipped lightly brushing the scrawny branches. I panicked. I pushed the cancel RTH button, the display asked me “ cancel or okay” I picked cancel. Wrong answer. This cancelled my cancel. Should have said okay. But I was panicked and the rotors scratching the pine needles didn’t help. I did this twice until I realized I was supposed to say “okay”. So in summary, there may be a reason to cancel RTH that you don’t expect until the s—t hits the fan. Regards, and don’t panic it never helps.
