So today after about 130 hours of flight time I had my 1st crash that did anything other than nick a prop. I was playing around with POI and had it orbiting my dog and thought the sensors would of stopped it before it got to a umbrella stand due to the angle (I know it doesn't have side sensors)... It did not and road down the umbrella stand and snapped this prop in half at the connecting point. Replaced and drone is fine but just goes to show you it always happens on the dumbest stuff and don't put much faith in the sensors ever stopping you especially when you are using the diffrent auto functions of the drone lol.

I commend you on 130 hrs of sUAS piloting skills. I had >2700 hrs flight time, yes thats right and I got a stinking badge for it, before crashing my first drone w/ <20 hrs. Congrats on quick recovery.

Is that your dog running for its life on the left edge of the second image?
That his *** sitting there in the grass lol, im not sure how I took that pic during the crash must have hit the button.

That is a good lesson and thank you for posting it. I am finding that the auto controls don't always protect you like they think they will. This is helping me take 100% responsibility for keeping my drone safe.

Love the dog--they are such great company! I have two, and one of them is dying to grab my drone and shake it like mad lol!

That's what gets me nervous about quickshots. Exactly how far back or around is it going to go?

For Quickshots I like to do the shot twice. The first time I setup the shot, and watch it go around to make sure it clears any obstacles, and am ready to stop the MA2 if required. If all goes well I setup again and let it do its thing without worry and get a shot without me constantly watching the drone.

Sorry for your loss. Wait....a propeller? Hardly a major crash. No blood was spilled. Start replacing the gimbal, lens, arm, circuit boards, or the whole bird - those are major crashes.....good learning experience though.

I hear you.
I haven't .........Mavics yet. An AEE Pro 12 and a Yuneec Typhoon H.
Not even typing out the sentence because I don't need to jinx myself...lol.
Still; that's a pretty good track record you have.
Congratulations
