I just recently purchased the Mini 2 Fly More Kit from a local Best Buy store. When it arrived I noticed that the two extra batteries the were included in the charger were of a different color than the one in the drone. After close examination I discovered the two black batteries were Li-Ion and only 1065 mah. The battery that was in the drone was grey and was a Li-Po battery with 2250 mah. DJI seems unwilling to make it right and Best Buy doesn’t want to know nothing. I think I’m stuck but for all you new buyers be careful. If the extra batteries don’t match the one in the drone you are also getting robbed......

Can you share a photo so we can see what you're describing?

Robbed? You should return your Best Buy purchase. They most certainly accept returns.

they are indeed the wrong batteries they are from the MM not the Mini 2 someone has swapped them ,was the drone package in its sealed cellophane wrapper when you purchased it ,and the original box seal unbroken

This is weird, I thought the same as you OMM, someone swapped MM batteries (BUT Japanese MM version ones) for Mini 2 batteries.
My MM batteries are 2400mAh, I just checked.
The Japanese version of the MM has 1100mAh batteries

".....ne flight rules according to Japanese aviation law. Due to the difference in weight and capacity of the two batteries, always use the Japanese battery (1100 mAh) when using the Japanese version of Mavic Mini......."
from Mavic Mini - FAQ - DJI

so moparherb's batteries don't match even the Japanese MM batteries.

If the local BEST BUY store doesn't want to know I would be emailing their head office.

Here are two pictures of the batteries I received in my Mini 2 Fly More Kit. If you blow up the back shot you can clearly see the specs. 47EA2A7A-C394-430B-8AA3-20014FCB35FA.jpegB523EEA3-EE3D-4C24-B24B-3AC204486CEC.jpeg

This is extremely bazzair. I agree either the package seal was broken or your messing with us. Contact DJI do not charge the black batteries in the grey charger. Can you please open the DJI fly app connect the drone and go to safety check battery info to see if they have been charged in the past.

I thought the Japanese version of the MM1 batteries were supposed to be LiPo.

Definitely get an exchange or refund from BB.

I didn't notice the mAHr was only 1065.
I googled the model number where only the MM1 charging hub came up. Specs showed it supported 3 different batteries: the common 2400, the JP 1100, and these 1065. Also note on the battery that it says Lithium Ion Polymer, so it probably is LiPo and not metal can LiIon that most of us have.

Can't find the batteries themselves in Google though.

Wait, I found it, but can't figure out what the intended market is.

Edit: Found it showed up in Google in DJI store for Japanese market, but actually going there has DJI say not available in my country/region with no further specs or explanation.

Perhaps JP early version or JP flymore version to accommodate prop guard weight?

I’m not messing with anyone. This is exactly how I received my Fly More Package. I inserted one of the low mah batteries into the drone and got the following info from the DJI Fly app

voltage= 4.25 for both cells
times charged= 0
serial number
manufacture date= 2020-11

i have charged both of these batteries in the included charger before I realized there may be an issue, so I won’t continue to charge them. The drone reports 96% available.

For clarity I do not doubt the OP recieved these batteries and they are listed in connection with the mini 2 on that Scan (a reputable UK seller) webpage.
I suspect someone somewhere has goofed when packing the box. IMO it should be returned to the retailer and if the shop will not oblidge then I would be emailing their head office and or DJI.

According to that web site ”DanMan32” the battery is listed as a Li-Po. These batteries clearly state that they are Li-Ion. I have placed an order thru DJI for two new Intellegent Flight Batteries for the Mini 2 and should see them next week. I will pursue to try and get some satisfaction from either DJI or Best Buy. But at 70 some years old I’m not going to let this tarnish what I expect will be a fun endeavor.

These batteries say Lithium Ion Polymer Rechargeable Battery at the very top next to the DJI logo.

JP batteries are indeed LiPo to save on weight.

to be correct they are LiPoHV cells, i.e. LiPo with HV chemistry additives allowing to charge them to 4.35 or even to 4.40V to have more mW*h of energy pushed inside.

The one Topic Starter got with flymore packages are for 4.35V (8.7v / 2) as could be get from marked MaxCharging Voltage parameter on the label.

Clearly an incorrect/incomplete battery set, return as midsold.
