Mini DJI Mini 2 is a real beast nothing to do with its predecessor...

The point being in the video of the 12th, post #4, you nearly lost the drone because of extreme distance 5km? (well outside VLOS) considerable height 250m? when the ceiling I can find is 90m, and in strong wind, then you land by a main road on its paved surface.
3days later you post a video which from your own text says ", I am flying over hills at high altitude while being very far from my position".

I got it now, thanks for your explanation... Max distance was 2500 meters and a perfect sunny day without wind... I don't think that I took any risk. Rules and regulations are different from one country to another. I made 3 flights and came back to my position each time with about 20% in the batteries.

Your comment makes sense, I can indeed seem impetuous on this one.

Correct me if I am wrong but Pattaya appears to be in Thailand. If so and if you are flying there then do not the following rules apply?

Man, I get you're probably over excited with the Mini 2, but try to keep within the regulations, as breaking them (and publishing it on YouTube) isn't the best idea. Governments are itching to destroy this hobby, don't give them more reasons.

I think you have made your point, genuine ignorance and/or intentional disregard for rules/regulations feature in every country and with respect to pretty much every imaginable pursuit.

More or less, it is about the regulation although the latter has changed recently. This regulation is applicable throughout the national territory beside that there are also the local regulations (or rather the locally granted authorizations). The local authorizations are managed by county by the main police station of the concerned county, they are easily issued in the rural counties for small drones of less than 2kg. I think i am not stupid enough to break the law and post my offenses on youtube.

Regulation is not my favorite subject of discussion but if you are interested, it is the regulatory framework currently applicable to the land of smiles ...

Virtual reality has invaded even sacrosanct modalities...

"Mini 1’s are going to literally be worthless soon in my opinion", time will tell but at the moment they value is not declining that much and that's even with ebay seller saying I am selling to fund a Mini 2. There was a slight drop yesterday evening (Sunday) but there were loads that finished between 6 & 8 pm in the UK so buyers were spoilt for choice to some extent.

Right over the top of my head.

I've done nearly 70 YouTube videos with the original Mavic Mini, and after playing with the Mini 2, I'll definitely be upgrading. This is coming from a guy who also has the Mavic Air 2; I just love the portability of the Mini...and now with occusync, it's literally a no-brainer.

The fact is once you have tried Mini 2 you don't want to fly with MM1 anymore...

My
Mini 1 is good for ‘quick and easy’ applications...while my Mavic Pro is for others, then Skydio 2 for more sophisticated endeavors...although ’segmented’ by nature, overall usage
Embodies positive a experience...
