its ugly I know but my only problem is when I have it in normal mode my sensors say I have objects in front when its not. I crashed it into some trees then dropped it about 20 feet on the ground .I do have insurance but I'm wanna go the fastest route ,even if I have to pay out of pocket . can somebody please help me , I'm really thinking bout taken it apart myself

If there are parts available (as with the Mavic 2 Pro which I've had all apart to fix), that looks to be good candidate for DIY, though the impact looks severe enough that you should inspect for less obvious damage; the arms, and especially the arm hinges, to make sure nothing internal is damaged (like bent hinge parts etc).

I've replaced that piece more than once - it is not hard. Replace it & hopefully you are prompted to calibrate via PC app. Will post the vendor link when I find it (I think - forum rules?) Do a search for "Front Obstacle Avoidance Cover".

EDIT - I apologize for my rookie mistake here in misidentifying the model -

Also - welcome to the forum! Google and the search function are your friends - It is relatively easy to replace - there are screws - you need tools... If you are so inclined - go for it - else, use the insurance :)

I don’t think there are any parts , I’m still looking tho

NO!
I may have mistook your picture for a Zoom / Pro.What drone are you flying?
Oh ok no problem . Just one more ? And I’ll leave u alone lol . What was the reason u change ya face part ? Was it saying objects was in front of it when it was not ?

Yea I was thinking that ???

This is actually the correct part for the MA2,

Its very important to determine if actually the front vision sensors are indeed either
1. Damaged but calibratable (DJI Fly will report error, DJI assistant is used to do the calibration)
2. Damaged but calibration failure (But potentially fixable, see the sensor readout of during DJI assistant calibration)
2.1 If as I suspect the sensor bracket is broken but the sensor and electrical parts are still fine, then some glue can actually stick them back together... This requires complete disassembly of the drone of course.
3. The front cover is the best news :
Only US4.50 shipped.

U have tools for yours ? Where the best place I can get them from ?

the nose should pop off by prying / pry tools. Watch the 2 tear down video of Mavic Air 2 on youtube.

For full disassembly you need hex heads of 1.5 and 2.0 and philips 00, and various pryt tools
